Amber Blair

RYT-200

Hot Vinyasa

Amber’s yoga journey started 15 years ago and through all this time, she has continued to come back to her practice as a way to manage stress, anxiety, and to keep her body strong. Amber has used yoga as a lens to modify the way she identifies with the natural world and connects to each being within it. Her love and devotion for yoga drove her to complete her 200-hr YTT in 2022 so she could share this practice with others within our community.

Amber’s personal practice is deeply rooted in Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of love and devotion. Through this, she has devoted herself to offering this practice to anyone she can reach, believing it is an honor to serve anyone seeking to be lead though their asana practice. Holding an inclusive space in which people feel welcome and safe while supporting your practice — wherever that is today — is highly important to Amber. She enjoys curating a unique experience for each class, offering you a challenge to encourage body strengthening and flexibility. You can expect her classes to be lighthearted, fun, and energetic, while still holding space for mindful breathing and movement meditation.

As a white woman teaching asana classes, Amber feels it important to honor the roots of this practice by acknowledging the long lineages of yoga. She regularly offers Sanskrit in addition to English posture names and occasionally sprinkles in some Vedic philosophy/literature to add a theme to her class. Amber’s hope is that with each class you take a piece of this ancient tradition with you.
