Yoga School

Fall 2024 Dates Coming Soon

The Bellingham Yoga Collective yoga school offers education and immersion as a way for passionate students to dive deeper into the traditions, teachings and practices of yoga, whether the intent is to teach or not!

Yoga School gathers for 14 weeks of curriculum and builds progressively from subject to subject to culminate meeting the Yoga Alliance Requirements for a registered teacher at the 200 hour level. The program offers two types of curriculum: lifestyle practices/ tools of the yoga tradition and technical teaching skills and methodologies. Classes oscillate between the more personal and immersive ‘lifestyle of a yogi’ content and the teaching methodologies and skillsets needed to teach the tools learned.

*Note: It is possible to join the program for half the cost of tuition to participate in lifestyle practices and tools alone as a way to dive deeper into the yoga teachings, forgoing obtaining teaching credentials necessary to teach as a certified yoga instructor.

Claire Stetina (E-RYT500, YACEP, LMT, Owner) began to develop this program while teaching full time in San Francisco. The program launched in Seattle where she graduated dozens of teacher trainees and refined the curriculum and content. Now the program lives at BYC.

Join Jacque Sweet, Liza Higbee-Robinson, and Kelly Villarreal, as well as visiting guest teachers for specialty subjects.

 What People Are Saying

"The YTT program at Bellingham Yoga Collective was incredibly transformational. Beyond the physical asana practice, we learned about the other limbs of the yoga tradition, meditation, Sanskrit, and more. What's more is the community of people learning alongside each other, of which I've been gifted some lifelong friendships! I'm thrilled to be working as a yoga instructor now while still feeling supported by BYC's continued mentorship opportunity."
