WHAT TO EXPECT
This two-part workshop series will delve into the biomechanics of yoga, specifically for athletic recovery. We will focus on three core principles: mobility, stability, and flexibility, along with the benefits of breath-work. The workshop is intentionally split into two days, allowing ample time to break down the mechanics of yoga for both the upper and lower halves of the body. Whether you play sports, lift weights, or run marathons, yoga is another form of movement that can be an excellent addition to your training regimen. Come learn how incorporating yoga can improve your balance, increase your range of motion, prevent injuries, and fundamentally support an active lifestyle.
October 13th – Wrists, shoulders, and spine
October 20th – Ankles, hips, and lower back
ABOUT ME
My love for yoga began about ten years ago when a friend dragged me to a hot power Vinyasa class. I walked out completely worked but also intrigued, so I started taking weekly classes alongside my gym routine. What I soon realized was that pairing yoga with cardio and weight training created the perfect balance of effort and ease in my body. What I lacked in my workout, I gained in yoga, and vice versa. Anytime I stopped either one for too long, something would feel off. Not only did they complement each other, but they also supported each other's progress. My lifts felt stronger, the yoga flows were more enjoyable, and I moved through daily life with significantly less pain or stiffness. This experience quickly turned into my passion: helping people get more out of their exercise routines by incorporating a variety of functional movements, training more like an athlete, and avoiding burnout.
About Alina:

Alina Kuznetsova
From dancer, to yoga, to paving a life driven around movement – it’s basically been my greatest catalyst and offering to those around. I love to teach and I love to learn, but mainly I love those ah-ha moments when something just clicks. A mind to body connection, which essentially builds new pathways for growth and development. This past year I dove into a personal training course and taught about 500 yoga classes. The work is within integration – apply, adjust, and be okay with trying again.
