Our Beginner Yoga Series is a fun and lively introduction into the framework of a yoga class, what to expect, and the basic skills you need to feel supported in your commitment to a practice of mindfulness and well-being through yoga. Join us in this opportunity to be amongst other beginners and an experienced yoga teacher to ask questions and learn the basics of yoga that will give you a foundation to build your practice and bring you confidence to participate in our regular LYC class offerings. During this series you will become familiar with standard yoga poses, their names and shapes. Discover simple ways to pay attention to your breath. Practice combining breath and movement of yoga postures to support you to experience an elevated state of body and mind awareness.
